Installing the Software on a Linux™ System
Connect to your system using SSH as the root user and do the following:
- > wget sitezen.com/install_master (to install the master server)
> wget sitezen.com/install_slave (on all other servers)
- > bash install_master (or bash install_slave for all other servers)
- Follow the prompts for the install
Some of the key prompts are:
"Enter LOCAL computer's default Database 'root' password"
This is the root password for mySQL and is used by setup so that it can create the necessary user-IDs to be able to create end-user databases. You will not be prompted for this if mySQL is setup to not require a mySQL root password while running under Linux root.
"Choose a new master database password for user xxx"
This is the password you will use on subsequent slave installs. Please make this password secure as it is created for non-localhost access.
"Enter hostname of MASTER's database" (slave install only)
This is the hostname of your master server. This is needed so that the slave server can connect to the master server.
"Enter password for xxx" (slave install only)
The password that you entered when prompted for a new master database password.
Once the install finishes and the daemon is started please proceed to install the license key
